Hi Guys, I'm new to Tivo, I mean bought it today new. I live in Jamaica and after purchasing the tivo I call customer support and hear 'it only works in the US', fine, but I would still like to use the basic DVR functions without the tivo service. I have been searching your site and found some clues, but everybody assumes that you know how to even get to the tivo prompt or access the drive. Is there anything here that literally starts from scratch for a newbie that tells you exactly what to do, and give you links to the exact files you'll need to do the hack. BTW I can't even make the first 'call home' call, I need to change the Toll-Free number from 1-877-367-8486 to 1-882-367-8486, because that's what works from Jamaica for Toll-Free numbers to the US :confused:
