Ok I guess I hosed up the installation on my TIVO Cachecard. I have a Sony DTivo SAT-T60 and I was running XPLUSZ 3.10. I downloaded the drivers for 2/8/04 and followed the Native installation instructions to a tee.
Everything appeared good until I tried to reboot the TIVO. The hard drives would not spin up with the cachecard and memory module installed. The drives also fail to spin up and boot when I remove the memory module from the cachecard. When I remove the cachecard my T60 boots up and I get a red screen and a Cachecard Ver 1.0 Error and then it goes on to boot up completely and I get regular video and all of my recordings are present.

I have since done some more reading and found the thread about the

Cachecard/Turbonet/Airnet FAQ (http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=77)

I guess I am going to have to do some repair work to my rc.sysinit file now.

I started up Tera Term Pro and went to the /etc/rc.d/ file and entered joe rc.sysinit

When I do that I get the following message: couldn't open '/var/hack/joerc'

I went to the /var/hack directory and sure enough joe was not there.

I then downloaded hack.zip from this thread http://dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20004 and extracted joe and joerc from the hack.zip file to a file on my windows desktop PC.

I tried to transfer joe with Tera Term Pro with the ZMODEM and it would not transfer.

Can anyone help me get joe back on my DTivo?

This isn't a solution to your Joe problem, I just wanted to remind you that the CacheCard install blows away the entire rc.net file, and overwrites it. If you were running xPlusZ, you also will need to edit rc.net and put back the line
/etc/rc.d/rc.remote-login &
at the end of the file. This will bring back xPlusZ for you.

Did you have joe working on this unit before? Maybe its a PATH problem? My xPlusZ enabled T60 has joe in /tivo-bin/ (also in PATH) and joerc in /hack/etc/
