Ok I really dont meant to sound stupid, but since this is the newbie area I guess it's ok.
I have the Tivo brand 40 hr model Tcd24004a
My software version is 4.0.1-01-2-240
I bought a new 120GB drive to replace the origional drive.
I was going to run sleeper's scripts later on today (so i can record soprano's tonight) and I had a last min question.
I paid for the HMO and That enables me to program my tivo to record stuff from the web. Now Many threads I read told me to block the tivo from the internet on my router, but I want to be able to keep the web programming feature. I saw that the monte script has an "update=false" type line in it so can i leave the tivo web access so I can record from the web without all my changes being erased?
also, I just wanted to make sure, but since it seems many people have trouble with old videos not playing after the iso (sleeper), that the unscrambling is turned on automaticly. Is this the case. I do want it on so I can work on extraction later (one step at a time :) ) There is nothing yet stored on my drive so this is the perfect time for me to enable it if not.
