I have a Hughes HDVR2 series 2 Direct Tv/Tivo.
I downloaded the .iso sleeper script (fully automated one that does all the steps for you) and I am able to get the original drive backed up and the new HDD restored with that image and running, problem is, when I continue with the script, (for the hacks - like TivoWeb and ftp and telnet) it finishes ok, but I never get the drive to boot in the tivo after that. It hangs on the starting up screen.
My original version of the sw on the tivo was/is 3.1.1b-02-2-151.
Any ideas/help ? Thanks

I just did the same thing last night! I have an SD-DVR40 I recently added a 120 gb HD for a total of 140hrs or so. Anyways... I already backed up my 40hr image... tivo.bak. It sounds like you did that already, but here is a twist, at least for me. I assume it is a single drive, did you run the sleeper.iso to the same "original" drive, or did you put it on a new larger "A" drive? The reason I ask is I thought they suggested you use a larger drive if you are planning to use the sleeper.iso.

Besides that... I had the same problem, I put my 40hr backup into another 120gb hd, applied the sleeper.iso to it and made sure it was set to master and it stood at "welcome...powering up" after about 5mins I stopped it, checked my connections, the set it to (cable select) CS on the HD, it booted up fine... you'll get some strange colors on your screen, but that's normal. For some ODD reason, this other 120 gb HD doesn't boot up if it is set to master...even in my cpu!! It only works if it is set to CS(cable select) or slave.

Try that! good luck!

I am using a new (160 gig) larger replacement drive. I tried changing the jumpers to CS (cable select) Master and even slave and no go on any settings - just hangs there at the starting up screen !!!
Any other ideas ?
