I just installed a larger (80GB) into my SD-DVR40 by using the tivoscripts1.02 iso (sleepers) with the Monte option. I am very versed in linux, so not a newbie there, but I can't seem to get a prompt via hyper term or tera term. I am getting gibberish when I try to connect.

Here's the output:
œœ”
””€€ˆ”””œˆœ„„˜˜€””€üĚÜŘŕŕŕŔ”üœˆœœ

Any suggestions? The scripts seems to have loaded fine, and the thing boots up perfect. I made my own bash cable and am sure it is right. Double checked it.

Either you got the Russian version of tivoscript or you didn't set your baud rate to 115200 in Hyperterminal.
