Note: I know how to spell j-e-r-k-y but the board software replaces the first 4 characters and it comes out looking like "****y".
I have two HDVR2s, each have been hacked using sleeper ISO. Somehow,
I did not do the same exact steps and one has a larger swapfile than the
other.
One of the boxes is acting very jurky on stored playback- stopping for seconds at a time, blocky pixelated screen, etc.
On that box, the memory/swap use looks like this:
Memory Statistics:
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 44830720 43757568 1073152 0 4501504 26005504
Swap: 133165056 0 133165056
MemTotal: 43780 kB
MemFree: 1048 kB
MemShared: 0 kB
Buffers: 4396 kB
Cached: 25396 kB
Active: 18692 kB
Inact_dirty: 8056 kB
Inact_clean: 3044 kB
Inact_target: 32 kB
HighTotal: 0 kB
HighFree: 0 kB
LowTotal: 43780 kB
LowFree: 1048 kB
SwapTotal: 130044 kB
SwapFree: 130044 kB
On the box that's working fine, the mem/swap use is thus:
Memory Statistics:
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 44830720 36929536 7901184 0 180224 26419200
Swap: 67104768 3977216 63127552
MemTotal: 43780 kB
MemFree: 7716 kB
MemShared: 0 kB
Buffers: 176 kB
Cached: 25800 kB
Active: 21276 kB
Inact_dirty: 4700 kB
Inact_clean: 0 kB
Inact_target: 8 kB
HighTotal: 0 kB
HighFree: 0 kB
LowTotal: 43780 kB
LowFree: 7716 kB
SwapTotal: 65532 kB
SwapFree: 61648 kB
Why is the box with the larger swapfile not using any of it? It seems to
be running awfully low on free memory, no? And, it seems to not have
many buffers.
Have powered off/on the box, but the problem returns.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
