I can't believe I've almost filled my 120gig since Christmas! ;)
(I guess I'm saving too much)
But while drives are so cheap...... I bought another.
I've saved the original drive and image. Can I simply Sleeper the new drive with the original image, set it Primary Slave and install it (with a new bracket)?
Could it be that simple? (I wasn't sure if it need to raid the drives so my first having recordings on it already might screw things up)
It's even simpler than you think. You don't need to monte the second drive (using sleeper's or any other method).
Check this site for information:

Good luck

Dear sir,
Please ensure that you have added enough swap space to accomodate a full mfs repair on both drives. If you do not have enough swap, you will eventually get stuck in a green screen loop.
Regards,
maule

He did make a valid point about the swap file but if Sleeper's iso was used originally it set up a 127MB swap file by default which should be adequate for use with dual 120GB drives.

Thanks for the hinsdale site - Nicely laid out, and of course right there is:
UPGRADE CONFIGURATION #1:
From: Any Single Drive TiVo
To: Adding a New B Drive :D
There's no reference to the "Sleeper" method, (guess it didn't exist when written) but I'm going to assume I can use Sleeper's disk and do the restore with the image it originally saved.
Does the Sleeper disk support MfsAdd or do I need to find MfsTools?
Mr THREAD CLOSE, I see you've returned, please note my question was posed in this forum. It was your Scary Presence that I considered when choosing it ;)

Hmm...
I was hoping to get just abit more assistance with this.
I am going to use Sleepers disk and do the "restore" on my new 120gig drive with the original image it created (isn't it better to use the original unhacked image as opposed to following hinsdale by the letter and use my existing hacked one?)
Then, I'll move all the IDE cables around, to meet MfsTools requirements, and put the current Drive A, Fat 23 c:, CD, and new Drive B, in my PC.
Next I'll boot from the MfsTools-2 I downloaded and run MfsAdd.
Anybody see any problems with this - Please let me know.... - TIA

If you're adding the new drive as B drive to the existing A drive, you don't need to restore anything to it. Just use mfsadd on a blank disk to make it available for use.

Sleeper's tivoscript contains a copy of MFS Tools on the CD. When you boot up with the disk, press Alt+F2 when the options list is displayed and you'll exit out of the menu and return to a prompt. You can run the mfsadd command from the prompt as follows:
mfsadd -x /dev/hdc /dev/hdd
This assumes that you have your Tivo A drive installed as secondary master and your new B drive as the secondary slave. The new total capacity will be displayed. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart the PC and then shut it down when the POST screen is displayed. Return the drives to your Tivo and boot it up. Check the system information screen to confirm the new larger capacity. Note that it will not match what was displayed on your PC monitor but it should be in the ballpark.

WOW - Thank You BOTH! This worked like a charm :)
I don't know where I got the idea that the new drive had to be configured as "TiVo" imaged (Great - more space to record to)
I used the Sleeper disk, made my own bracket, now says "212 hrs available" and I'm hoping the second drive will fill up much more slowly than the first (I've already saved most of the good stuff ;) )
Thanks Again for all your help.
