Newbie Questions........

I haven't purchased yet, but do have some questions. Let's start by setting my objectives, the if someone would be nice enough to tell me if it is possible.

I am a DirectTV subscriber and would like to add a Tivo receiver. I would like to upgrade the HD to a 120GB, which I already have. I would like to network with a Belkin USB to Ethernet, which I already have. Last and most importantly, I would like to be able to copy the files to my PC, edit out commercials and burn to DVD.

Is this possible with a new DirecTivo that I would purchase in the store?
Is one brand easier to hack than another?
Is this possible with a Series 2?

Yes, Yes (other than plastic and model numbers in the software their is no difference between brands), and Yes (you can't use your adapter on a Series 1).
