All versions of DTivo software work with the latest access cards from DTV. So, yes, 2.5.2 will work with a p4. However, you should upgrade to a newer version of software to stay current.

Can you explain further why it would be necessary to upgrade 2.5.2?

With DTV shutting down the HU stream many are putting back in their sub'd P4 cards.

Would it be necessary to reset and clear all? This would loose recordings correct?

Will 2.5.2 be upgraded via the stream and what if any inconvenience to xpluz commands will this cause?

With NOCALL in place would the DTIVO only call DTV and Tivo calls still be supressed even with the possible stream upgrade?

3.1 on the s1 units is a better OS, with a number of significant bug fixes, and a few nice features like the SORT backdoor.
