Ok, so I have my Tivo all hacked the way I want it and I can successfully grab shows and burn them to DVD using all the tools folks have contributed. Last October I got on the Letterman Show (that was a blast), Tivo'd it and would love to archive it onto DVD. Problem is, it's encrypted unlike any new show I record onto Tivo. Any possible way at all to decrypt this? Doing a quick search, it seems the answer is no but I do know that there are some very smart guys that read this and wanted to hear it from the horses mouth.
Thanks!

if you have an s1, then you can decrypt it (seach: unscramble). if its an s2, then currently the answer is no. use a regular capture card

I have to say I was struck by the subject line of this thread. It's as if Letterman used a special encryption system just for that show. ;)

I thought it might be a good way to entice a larger audience to look at the post. :-)
