It takes me about 20 minutes to download a 30 minute show which 876MB or so which is 4,866 mb in 10 seconds. Thats on wireless - if I go wired it's only SLIGHTLY faster...so you're on par.

The TiVo has other work to do while its on. Remember - it is *ALWAYS* writing to the disk. Faster transfer would mean the TiVo couldn't record or playback, as I understand it.

On a UK series 1 with TurboNet and a wired network you should get download speeds in the range of 1.2 - 1.5 megabytes per second. It varies depending on what else the Tivo is doing.

Yours is seriously $%%$ed up.

Read the various threads in the extraction forum on speeding up transfers, but I'd guess it was a networking problem for it to be that bad.

Two Tivos on the same MAC address maybe?

only got the one TIVO sanderton the tivo conects to a adsl hub witch is set to give out address but iv set up the tivo to have a address that is in its alocation table. is there a programme a can run to see if anything is clashing? also can you set up the turbonet card so it gets a ip address from the DHCP server? or does it have to be ststic?
