Got a question about adapters

I am getting one of these hdvr2's and plan on hacking it but what I would like to know is can you use some wireless usb's insted of the usb-ethernet adapters? My tivo won't be close enough to my pc so I would have to make a long run with cable.

WUSB adapters work with some finessing. The problem is that only the 802.11b adapters have drivers available, so your extraction speeds will be much lower (11mbs) than if you had a 100mbps wired adapter.

i have a series2 (40a) tivo and i've used d-link dwl-120 usb wireless adapters. works like a champ! :)

What drivers did you use? Im hoping one of the 2 in Sleepers ISO.

I used the ax?? option on the ISO and the Belkin USB 10/100 Ethernet Adapter, however I can get the light to come on. Is this because of the type of adapter or the driver on the ISO?????????
