newbie qustion, about tivo "information downloads"..

hello , i am very happy with my T60 running happily with the 2.5.2 version of xplus upgrade , , my question is , in the middle of the night when it starts secretly pouring stuff into your tivo , , is there anything that you would WANT from these downloads? or should i just turn on the read only xplus option??? thanks to everone for a great forum and a great UPGRADE to my tivo!! rollins. :confused:

2.5.2 is obsolete and mostly unsupported - you should upgrade to 3.1.0b so that you can take advantage of all the latest software here.

The service data download (SDD) is mostly there to send you showcases and yellow star ads. If you don't have a use for those, it can safely be disabled.
