is there any way to hook 2 tivos up to eathc other like you would a VCR wit RCA cables or rf cable like out to in or in to out and hit play on one and record on the other just need some help i got a new one and im selling my other one which has my shows i recored i pay for tivo so i anit trying to steal nothing.

You can transfer shows between Tivos using your home network and a standard FTP program. Look in the extraction section for the mfs_ftp sticky thread for info.

i dont want to install anything on them or i cant cuz i dont have a desktop pc i have a laptop

If you don't want to hack the Tivos then the analog transfer is the only way. You have to hook the video-out on the old one to the video-in on the new one. You then play your recording on one and schedule a manual recording on the new one. You also have to have the new one set up so that it can record on the analog inputs if it's not set that way already. You need to go into the setup and tell it you're using a cable box that is using the video inputs.

This all assumes you're using SA tivos. I'm pretty sure that the Satellite tivos will not record this way.
