Series 2 extraction speeds

is 0.46 meg/sec a decent speed for my s2 40 hour?

I use the linksys 100M...

Any suggestions to speed it up?

Also can anyone tell me how I can change this tivo to record in a more dvd 'friendly' format? I have tivowebplus on it and the latest software on the tivo but I do not see a section to edit the resources...

For a linksys 100m yes that would be about right. You could go to a 200m but then you would have to hexedit your tivoapp file to make the usb2.0 drivers load. Then you would get about 1.5mbits.
