New to S2 and want "Prevent Calling"?

Hi, Indicated in the title I’m new to the S2 world (I have good understanding of the S1).

Question is I have a new dtivo S2 recently added to my account. I have a plat sub that allows me to have the tivo service. I however want to leave this tivo at my Fathers house so when I’m over there I have TV to watch.

The only thing I think I need to do is prevent the dial out, and I believe I can do this by adding the "Prevent Calling" formally "Fixsub" and schedule a cron job to run once or twice a week to fake the call? Is this all I would need for the dTivo to work properly? I really don't need the other hacks; my goal is have a fully functional dtivo using my sub.

Also I would need to figure out how to achieve bash.

Mirrored subs must all be connected to the same land based phone line, or your programming will be disconnected after a few weeks.

Attempting to permanently install your mirrored sub at somebody else's residence is considered theft of service and may not be discussed here.
