Okay, this may be a stupid question - but I can't find any answers anywhere else. . .

I have a new HDVR2, I've activated it and started playing already.
I picked up a 200GB Seagate ATAV, used the PVT "LargeDisk" ISO to do an mfsbackup / mfsrestore to the new drive. it showed "222 Hours" on an SA Tivo - The HDVR2 shows "Variable, up to 176 hours".

Am I all good? I'm not sure if I needed the "lba48" hack or not. I'm not worried about any other hacks. . . I don't really need network access or anything at this time.

Any comments?

Thanks.

Yeah, you're in trouble. The "LargeDisk" kernel recognised the full capacity of the drive, and set up the partitons accordingly. The TiVo kernel cannot address the full capacity of the drive. At some point it will try to write past the 137 Gig barrier. At that point it will trash something, possibly the partition table, possibly one of the OS partitions, possibly one of the MFS partitions. In any case, you will lose everything.

Okay - good to know. Now where do I find steps to put a new kernel in place?
