Can anyone tell me if there is a manner in which you can purge certain captured files on the TIVO but it will still think it has those episodes? I am ready to clear up some room after transfering files to my PC for later watching, I want to delete them on the TIVO but don't want to wind up re-recording the episodes again. (From season pass)
If I am in through web tivo plus I am assuming when I delete from there it also clears it in the DB allowing it to be recorded again if I have set on season pass to keep all episodes and to record any reruns.
Thanks for any help

If you delete a show from Tivoweb, it is also deleted on the Tivo, yes.
When you say "record any reruns", do you mean the setting "Record First Run and Repeats" or "Record all showings, including duplicates".
You only need to worry about this if you mean the latter. The default setting is the former, meaning that even though you've told TiVo to record reruns, it won't record things that it has already recorded in the previous 28 days, whether you've deleted the show or not.

Thanks for the help.
I will get a little more specific:
Example setup of my season passes for each series that I want:
Keep At Most: ALL EPISODES
Show Type: Repeats & first run
Keep Until: Until I delete
So what your saying is with this config for my season passes, is if I have already recorded:
aaaa - Season 1 episode 2
aaaa - Season 1 episode 3
aaaa - Season 1 episode 4
aaaa - Season 2 episode 10
aaaa - Season 5 episode 2
I then copy those off my TIVO then delete them on the TIVO, for 30 days the TIVO will
NOT re-record those episodes above if they run again?
Is there any way to further tweak this? To go FURTHER then 30 days? To have TIVO remember all the episodes recorded for longer then 30 days?
It would be nice if I didnt have to keep track of it past 30 days so I am not re-recording episodes that I have already recorded. I know there are possible issues with this, since if it's possible to make the TIVO remember longer, it could slow it's processing down expecially if I was doing this with several season passes.. etc.
There are just certain programs that play allot of re-runs that have many different seasons and episodes so I am hoping to minimize dupes and then leave the TIVO open to record other programs during that time it would be wasting on a dupe. (That could only be 32 days old)
Thanks

It's being worked on :) , but at present no published hack does this.
