Problem with the viewcount?

I just noticed the view count on a number of posts seems to be off by quite a bit. Just look at the "Mfs_Ftp: suggestions, feedback, etc " thread viewcount. I know ADH's posts generally attract extra attention, but 162,500 views on 12 replies?

Maybe this is just a side effect from splitting threads?
