I recently stuffed up my bootpage on a series 1 tivo. I replaced the hard drive with a temporary unit as the original has 5 or 6 recordings I am desperate to keep. I was wondering if people knew a way to mount this drive under Windows (is there any software that will do this) so that I can drag the files an convert them to mpeg under windows.

Thanks

You will need to boot from the MFStools CD, then mount your Tivo drive as well as your Windows drive (FAT32, not NTFS) so you can perform the copy.

some one needs to update the MFStools cd. kernel 2.6.x can write to ntfs.

Do a search for jonbig's mfs_tmfstream thread, which provides tools for extracting .tmf's from mounted drives.
