eprom and flash

Does anyone have there ground remopved from the flash eprom to prevent programing? There was a download tonight of a new eprom. Couldnt install as I have cun the ground trace for the flash chip. Aka antiwink for those who know dss. Same type of trick. Just wanted to get a heads up how many if any do this? I know I will have problems with 2.5 and such but I will retrace the line at a later date when I can get back into 2.5.

With what update did you get new prom? what's the version of the PROM?

Which chip did you cut the trace on?

I can find the WE pin just want to make sure of the chip.

I seem to remember 2 or 3 flash chips on the board.

Is the Prom version shown on the Info screen?
