Hello All,
I'm in the UK and have a Thomson Scenic TiVo, Which I believe to be a series 1 TiVo.
I have never been in the unit yet, so I have no idea how many drives it has, etc. I have just bought a CacheCard and it is in transit as we speak.
My question is, I have some recordings on my TiVo that I dont want to lose and would llike to back up to PC eventually. How easy would it be to take the HD out and put another one in just to test installing the CacheCard drivers and TiVoWeb etc. and once i'm confident, i'll do it to the original drive and start the backup process.
Is it possible on the Series 1 TiVo and does any installation disk exist like the Slayer one for XBox (for example).
