HDVR2 w/ HU hack can use P4\5 legit card?

Hi there, I have a Hughes HDVR2 with the HU hack on it. I used to use an HU card with it and was wondering if i could directly use a P4/5 card right away without bringing it back to its stock stage? Please let me know for i will be subscribing to Dave soon :( ... dont want to card to go corrupt when i stick it in... Thanx in advance~
