Is there any app like WinVo for the mac? I can stream my tivo programs to
my PC using WinVo and Mplayer or even TivoWeb+ with tyshow But I can figure out how to stream it to my mac. Mplayer 2.06 for the Mac doesn't seem tot support Ty file and I can't figure out how to compile the Tivo version of Mplayer (I"m a bit of a mac novice), even if i couls I wouldn't have the nice GUi for watching my Tivo's programs....
Anyone have a way of doing this?

it seems like a generic MPlayer v1.0pre5 can now play ty files try grabing a generic copy of mplayer http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html I don't know if you will need x on x or not but it's worth a try also

They best way to find the most current version of MPlayer for the Mac that is ready to go with a GUI is to go to www.macupdate.com. Do a search for "mplayer". I think there are one or two of them with the front ends. I use ver 2.0b7. It seems to work ok to play ty streams.

Yes, the GUI Mplayer I have does play downloaded .ty files on my Mac, but I'm with the original poster -- I'd like a way to stream them off the TiVo iin the same the way I can on the PC. When I click on "view" in the Now Playing list of TiVoWebPlus, the show starts playing immediately in Windows Media Player. Not so, on the Mac.

Mplayer _can_ stream off the Tivo, though you may need "Tivo-Mplayer" (http://tivo-mplayer.sourceforge.net/, you may need to compile it yourself for the Mac, not sure...). It uses vserver on the Tivo to stream to mplayer, just like TyShow does.

Wouldn't TyStreamer do (if you can get it installed)?
