I am a newbie to TiVo, but not to hacking in general.

I bought a Phillips HDR112 (at least I think that's it) 30 hour planning to subscribe to the service for my subbed RCA DSS. After going through the setup and using my first 6 days, I called to activate, but they wouldn't allow me to use the 800 number.
I would have to call long distance. Long story short, I have done quite a bit of reading (forums, FAQ's, NG's) and found script to acquire the guide data via the internet (jpags update script) and the edit info to clear the logs.

Is there a way to cancel the scheduled call to TiVo if I go this route? Do I need to?

The software has been upgraded to 2.0.1. I have not atempted to get a bash prompt or anything else yet, and obviously don't have a backup.

Any help would be appreciated.
