Back in the day, one had to remove the drive from their tivo and put it in a linux pc in order to 'marry' it to another drive. I'm about to undertake this, but being a lazy bastard, I'm wondering if anybody ever got around to cross-compiling the 'marrying' code, so you could just add the second drive to the tivo and marry them in their home ... which is cheaper and easier than a church wedding.

Has anybody written this? If not, is the source for the minister availiable? It's been a long time since I've hacked clergy, but I ain't proud.

You can take new additional drive and bless it with BlessTivo.. Once thats done, just pop it in and hope for the best..

I'm not the authority on this, but I'm not sure that blessing the drive is even necessary anymore. At least not with the current mfstools software. And have you ever noticed this line in your rc.sysinit:

# Add second disk if there and uninitialized. No, we didn't take this out...
echo "Checking for additional disk..."
mfsadd

I don't have that line my rc.sysinit but yes an msfadd will work as well as blessing..
