GopEditor Crash

Running DSR7000, recordings are unscambled, extraction using FlashFTP client via mfs_ftp into a windows XP system. Was successfully using Tytool9r16 after extracting via ftp: Make key, edit key, vob-mux, create IFO, then burn to DVD using CopytoDVD. Burned 10-12 shows a few weeks ago, no issues.
Used FTP to transfer more shows yesterday, I can make the key file, but then GopEditor crashes at the start of the Edit Key File process with this error: "GopEditor.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." (It's in the Windows XP error box where you have the choice to send an error report).
The GopEditor screen does comes up, no video/screen shot appears, but the error then shows within seconds.
I've tried setting initial jump to 50 and also tried Tytool9r17, no difference.
I can skip the key file process and just burn the whole extraction without problems, but I'd really like to edit out commercials and some stuff at the start/end of a movie.
Any thoughts on the problem? Maybe another way to generate/edit the key file?

It's been my experience that if GOPEditor crashes it's usually due to a corrupt ty file. Make sure you're extracting in tystream mode only. It's always better to perform the splitting and muxing processes separately to avoid problems.

This just happened to me today too. It ends up that when you install mfs_ftp for Series 2 you must install 3 packages: the core mfs_ftp, some s2 binaries and an updated version of just mfs_stream and mfs_export. If you forget the 3rd set you'll get corruption about 500 MB into the file. Apparently text strings are getting stuck in the middle of the binary download.

The reason I made a mistake and perhaps you too is that the package includes mfs_stream AND mfs_export but the text doesn't say you have to install the mfs_export file. Well you do have to install both.
