I was watching TV and the channel just froze, I thought it might've been a problem with the station so I change the channel and the screen turns black. I couldn't go into any menus or power off the TiVo. I waited about 5 minutes and unplugged the TiVo can now it won't even boot! It just sits an the "Your Recorder is starting up." screen.

Make sure the drive is spinning up. It sounds like the drive may have died on you. Check all of the internal cable connections and make sure everything is snug. See if the fan is plugged in and working. If the Tivo overheated it may have caused it to lock up and not reboot.

The drive spins up so does the fan. Do you think maybe the filesystem got messed up? Is there a command or somethin I can use to fix it in linux?

This has been answered, oh, about a thousand times.
Please do a search. Look for 'mfs repair'

I was reading something hear and someone said to chmod 755 the rc.sysinit. I went into my TiVo and I only found rc.S and rc.inet1. And I forgot what I typed in but it said that my I had an invalid partition table. Anyway to fix it without losing my recordings and all my settings?

Forget everything I said about the rc.sysinit file. The only thing that matters right now is when I boot up using Kazymyr's Boot CD it says my drive has an unknown partion table. Can you PLEASE just tell me how to fix this. Is the only way to restore from a backup?

Aight heres a little update. My filesystem isn't messed up, the bootdisks couldn't see it right until I put the drive in as secondary master. Anyway I did chmod 755 on the rc.sysinit and my TiVo booted up but with the GSOD. It's been on the GSOD for almost 20 hours. Should I wait longer? Or is it screwed?
