Guys,

I got a Sony T-60 I picked up at Best Buy on Open Box. The little mother was rebooting constantly, so I picked up a working image from another t-60 and put it on the drive. The damn thing still reboots. It goes about two seconds into the "Amost there" screen and promply resets.

I dd'd the drive, then mfstools the restore. I mounted the partition under linux to make sure it took. Eveything looked good.

I even used edit_bootparams to add the noideturbo thingy just for kicks after I sure it wasn't working.

Are there any steps I might have skipped? Any stupid things involved like you have to have the cover on or something like that? Bad drive? Any input would be welcomed.

I think the previous image on the drive was a 2.0 and the new image is 2.01. Would someone see this as a problem since I understand there was a prom update?
