I get this when I do
ls /var/mnt/looptest

/var/mnt/looptest is mfstools2.iso mounted on a loop
back device on my S2 tivo.

I get a listing...
ls /var/mnt/loop

dr-xr-xr-x 1 0 0 2048 Jun 15 2002 other

but there is a few second pause while the TiVo spews
out those Unaligned Access messages....

Thanks - jack

Does anyone know what these errors/warnings mean?
Unaligned Access to 0x83801941 in kernel mode at 0x8007a584

Basically this a fault in the kernel code. It's trying to load or store a word (e.g. lw) to an odd address, or a similar alignment problem with a longer datatype (short, int, float, double).

Is this your own kernel or one compiled byTiVo? Are any non-TiVo kernel modules loaded? These are the first things I'd check.

It could be that the loopback device support in the TiVo kernel is just broken. Can't say I've ever tried it. I do that sort of stuff on the x86 side.
