I am not sure if this has been covered before; so if it has I apologize.

I spend a lot of time editing commercials out of the shows extracted from my HDVR2. In the past, I have played around with Adobe Premier, along with some other video editing software, and find the video timeline to be very helpful. If feel that a video timeline within TyTools would be extremly useful to those that use this tool for editing purposes. Instead of having to hold down the arrow key to move through the video to find where to make cuts, we could immediatly get to a section of video within a click of the mouse.

Would something like this be possible? Do others out there think that this would be a great feature to have within this useful tool?

later,

Chris

The vast majority of the time you will not need to move around a ty stream the way you would when doing NLE. Look at the edit menu of TyTool's GOP editor and you'll find the number keys are useful. A timeline is really just eye candy for 1-pass linear editing. Josh's design was built to allow editing via TV out so the windows must be kept fairly simple. At least, that is, until we all have HDTV 1080p...
