While using any of the boot cds (PTV, TivoScripts), I get

hdc: [PTBL] [14593/255/63] hdc1

I am assuming that it is an error of some type since it never proceeds to boot linux.
The drive works in my Mac and PC (WD 120Gig)

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Just as an experiment, have you tried booting from the cd WITHOUT the drive attached? Also, make sure there is no conflict between the drive and the cdrom. Lastly (and this is a swag), are there any serial ATA ports on the motherboard?

Thanks for the reply!

Well it will not boot from the cd with the drive attached. There are seperate IDE slots for the onboard Promise Ultra 100, but never had any drives connected to them. If just the cdrom is installed it stops at "Uniform CD-ROM driver...."
With the drive attached I get the previously mentioned message.
Could the onboard Ultra 100 be messing up the boot?

Edit/Update Disabled the Utra 100 and still no go

Is this a CDROM drive, or a DVD drive? Problems have been reported when trying to boot the cd with a DVD drive.

There are two options. 1. Try the Knoppix-Lite boot cd from this board; it is supposed to do a superior job of detecting hardware.

2. Try a different computer. Problems have been reported when trying this on computers that are either too old or two new.
