i have purchased this tivo on ebay the hmo works great but im trying to extract video using bulletproof ftp client the seller said it was set up for this but i cannot figure how to make it work any help would be appreciated

perhaps you have the model number incorrect; a dsr6000 is a series 1 machine and thus cannot run 4.x. maybe it's a dsr7000 instead?

You might want to e-mail the person that sold it to you and ask them for instructions.

The other option is to read the extraction forum on this site and see what options are available for extraction, you might find out the information you need. This is probably the best answer you will get from this community since it does not, as a rule, support boxes sold on ebay ect.

You should contact the seller. He/She set it up. You paid for a hacked tivo. Send it back to them if it doesn't do what you paid for.

If you didn't hack it yourself you're in the wrong place.

Better yet, post a copy of the output from,

ps aux

when you telnet in, so we can see what's running. Also, post a copy of your /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit.author so we can see what's starting up.
