DirecTV Tivo upgrade

Hi,

I have a Hughes SD-DVR40 running version 3.1.1b of Directv's version of tivo. Is there any possibility of upgrading the unit to a version 4.0. I have disconnected my land line and thus the unit has not been able to upgrade over the VOIP line, despite several attempts of ,#319, external modem, etc.

I am wondering if I there is a process and the image location any of you can point me to perform an upgrade.

3.1.1e is the newest official build for this machine.

You can put 4.0 on it but you need to read through a number of posts regarding 4.0 on RID.
