i downloaded a 4.01b image off of emule and put it on my dvr40 with http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36361 instructions. i got to step 7 and put the drive back in my tivo and it wouldnt boot. after the powering up screen and then the tivo screen just went blank. BOOOOO...
i guess i dont really know if the image is good or not, how can i tell? it was 365 megs, i am currently downloading an image that only 165 megs. there is another image that says it is killhdinitrd_w_hacks.mfs i am trying to get that one. not sure what to do with it once i get it but what the heck.
what is the important info in looking for an image? is 4.0.1b sufficient? or do i need to get something more specific?
