mfs_ftp error, please help

I have a problem with mfs_ftp. I have searched all the forums (especially DealDatabase) and couldn't find a solution. I installed mfs_ftp on my tivo, and it runs ok. I can connect to through ftp, port 3105. However, when I try to download a tmf or ty file, I get the error
421 Service not available. Control connection closed by host.
When I look in the log of mfs_ftp on Tivo, I see
bgerror invoked with error
" broken pipechild process exited abnormally"

I can download files from any directory except the tmf and ty directories.

I am running a Tivo Series 2, with v3.1 kernels (I used TivoSleeper to get the 3.1 kernels installed over my 4.0 kernel).

For ftp clients, I have tried IE, Mozilla, GetRight, CuteFTP Pro, and WarFTP. Someone suggested I try IglooFTP Pro, which I am now using. I have the same problem with all these clients.

Any help you can provide would be grealy appreciated.

Please post in the proper forum when seeking assistance. This is a development forum and is only for discussion of developing hacks for the Tivo. I'm sure one of the mods will move it to its correct location but they really shouldn't have to. They've got enought to do so please try not to create more work for them in the future.
