View Full Version : Missing Channels
I purchased a DTivo from Direct TV as a Xmas gift for my daughter and installed it at my home. She doesn't have a phone line. I upgraded the hard drive to 80GB and used a program called Monte to do the upgrade and to remove the daily call message. I installed it for her yesterday at her place and it worked fine; but here's the problem. I only pay for and get HBO at my place where I set it up. She also pays for Cinemanx, Showtime. These channels don't show up on her new Tivo. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get these channels.

check the settings and look at the checkboxes on Channels I receive. Also check your favorites if you use them.

Whose name did you use when you purchased it? If it's on your account, it'll only have the channels you pay for.

I purchased it and set it up at home. The guy I purchased the Monte software from said the DTivo would work at other locations with the applied hacks. Evidently this is not the case.

:rolleyes: You just don't get it, do you? The hacks have nothing to do with what channels you receive. When a system is registered with DirecTV, they program the access card for the channels you are authorized to receive.
I won't even go into why you paid for software that is available free.
