Tivo w/ dvd burner

If I got a Tivo with a DVD burner, could I edit the video that was burned to a dvd?

Just to be clear. You can't edit it on the unit itself. But if you burn the program to a DVD you can utilize utilities on your Windows PC to edit the program and remove the commercials...etc and burn a new cleaned up version. A good place I visit to see all the utilities out there for this is http://www.vcdhelp.com

I utilize DVD-RW disks to move a program off my unit and then edit it on my PC and burn as a final to a DVD-R disk.
