Hi All,

I know this is going to sound redundant but here goes. I installed a cachecard on my hdr112 upgrade to a 120gb maxtor. The network is set to DHCP and I can ping and telnet the Tivo. However, when I launch Tytool 9r14 and try to connect, it says connection failed. What am I doing wrong? I am not even close to knowing anything about Linux but have upgraded and installed the cachecard with no problems. Was there somthing I was supposed to add to the hd earlier? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

smb56 :)

Did you transfer and startup the 'tserver' binary on your Tivo, located in the 'TyTool9r18.zip' file?

Also, as noted, 9r18 is the current release, you may want to consider upgrading. Hint: It's the very first post / sticky in the 'Extraction, Insertion, & Streaming Support' forum.

No, not that I am aware of. I spend about 300 nights a year out on the road and don't have a get to spend a lot of time playing with tivo. I am at the mercy of people like you to get this right so I can enjoy my tivo more than I am right now. Any way you can tell me how to do this?

Thanks,

Look in the extraction forum and you'll find the sticky containing the latest version of TyTools. Look through the readme files for info on installing and running TyTools.
