I am using Tytools9r18 to extract video from my dtivo. When I view these files there is a flickering at the very top of the frame. It is kind of white on black and stretches almost the whole way across the top of the screen.
I have used a few differnt versions of tytools but this problem remains, any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks,
Kain

Do a search using overscan as a keyword.
I believe what you are seeing is overscan, and is always present. It's just not always visible.
If you carry on, and make a dvd with these video's, the overscan will not be seen when played on a television

It's data (specifically--probably CC data). Not visible on your TV or on a DVD if you burn it and watch on a DVD-Player. But most PCs don't have overscan areas--they just show everything.
