Hi-
I have a DTV DVR40 @ 3.1.1e. I have the seral cable for the Tivo, but I am having trouble understanding how to install the slice files on the Tivo. I have the slice files & loops for 4.0.1b & 3.1.1c. Which one do I use, and what program do I use and what are the step-by-step instructions for installing the files on my Tivo through the serial cable, so that I do not have to take the HD out of the Tivo. Also, after I apply the slice files can I simply apply the superpatch 4all or our their other tools that need to be applied to the Tivo before the superpatch 4all will work/ or can be installed?
