I have been doing loads of research on this and a few other forums about video extraction and Series 2 Stand Alone Tivos.
I found that hacking my Tivo to extract video is as simple as plugging up the Tivos drive to my PC, loading software onto it, putting it back in and doing everything via my PC and my network, basically.
I also read that the Series 2 cannot be hacked to do such a thing, but I read all sorts of forum posts with software I need vaguely showing it can be done, etc.
So, can my Tivo be hacked or not? I have a wireless NIC plugged into it to dial in, so I know I'd be connected to my network, for sure.
Also, looking around, you'd think someone would post a nice detailed tute on how to do the series 2s because so many people ask how it is to be done. Yes, there are bits and pieces, a lot of dead ends and LOADS of tutes for older Tivos. The entire reason I bought this thing was to hack it, lol.
Any help, verification or links to nice detailed TRUE tutorials for us Tivo Series 2 owners would own.
Thanks in advance.
