My cat made a snack of my power cord. It's functional, but I need to get a new one to prevent problems down the line. Sony replacement parts don't seem to be available (though have emailed and am awaiting reply).
Any idea where I can acquire one if Sony doesn't sell them?

Also, I was cruising for help before posting and noted that someone said a PlayStation cord could be used instead? Is there a certain PS cord that works as an option? Does it need to be PS1 vs PS2?

Many thanks!

Take the old cord to your local RS. They'll match it up for you.

I believe this is the one you need from Rat Shack:

If it's not the right cord they do have an exact replacement that will fit your Tivo. It's a standard polarized cord that also fits Playstations (both PS1 and PS2 models use the same cords) and many other consumer electronics components.

It's the same power cord used on the Playstation 2. Check your local games store.

Yikes... Is your cat?

Choose your answer:

Yes, but he has only 8 lives left.

No, but he got quite a charge out of it!
