Yes. You need a killhdinitrd kernel. You can find one in the files section.
You need to give more debugging info. Get or make a serial cable so that you can monitor the boot progress. Read the stickies at the top of the Newbie section.
Of course, if all you really wanted was to clear the stuff on the TiVo all you had to do was a clear and delete everything from the setup menu.

The hash for the kernel is wrong. You need a killhdinitrd kernel. There is a difference between a killinitrd kernel and a killhdinitrd kernel.
Get the 4.0.1a kernel pointed to here (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38573). Download killhdinitrd from here (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36692).
Run killhdinitrd on the kernel and put the killhdinitrd kernel onto your tivo.

Ok so I Download one of the virgin kernels the 4.0.1a boot from hd with the tivo hd in and run killinitrd
--
killinitrd vmlinux.px
Successful and some other stuff
--
then type dd if=/dir/kernel/where/vmlinux.px of=/dev/hda6
1+1 In
1+1 out
or something like that is that all i do?
