Edit... Item is now SOLD!

I'm selling my uniquely upgraded DirecTV TiVo DVR receiver for $250 shipped (shipping may be more if not in U.S.)

Hughes GXCEB0T Series 1 DirecTiVo DVR.This unit is in VERY GOOD condition, with no visible scratches or scuffs. Comes in its original box with all of the original cables and manuals and the remote.Maxtor 120GB 7200rpm 8mb cache hard drive. This upgrade allows the DirecTiVo to record up to 109+hrs of programming! Acoustic management is enabled to make it very quiet (FDB motors help too!).SiliconDust CacheCard. This unique upgrade for the Series 1 TiVo's adds greatly enhanced performance during normal TiVo operations, such as scheduling recordings or managing Season Passes; as well as a 10/100 Ethernet interface to allow your TiVo to use your home network. Once on the network, the TiVo can make its Daily Call over the internet, and opens up numerous possibilities for enhanced functionality (please contact me for examples).512MB 184pin PC133 SDRAM DIMM.This is the maximum memory the CacheCard supports, allowing the whole TiVo database to be cached to increase performance.
This unit works perfectly and performs better than any DirecTiVo (Series 1 or 2 or 2.5) on the market today! Many TiVo enthusiasts swear by this first generation DirecTiVo with a hard drive upgrade and the network/caching upgrade as the TiVo to have.

You'll receive the unit with all programming and settings cleared and deleted and ready to run Guided Setup at your location. All necessary drivers for the caching and ethernet will be installed. You will have telnet and FTP access over your home network, but no other software enhancements will be included.

The Hughes unit itself is 2+ years old, and the upgrades have been in place for 1 year. I'm selling because I've upgraded to the High Definition DirecTiVo.

No access card Included! You will have to get a new access card from DirecTV for a minimal fee, or re-use one of your existing access cards from a receiver you are replacing.
