So I can get the m2v and m2a files from the TiVo now I'm trying to get them to be 'joined' togeather to create an mpeg1 file. When I use the tmpgenc with TiVo-VCD.mcf what happens is that the audio and video are out of sync.

Any one have any ideas on how to do this. I have both Linux PCs and Windows PCs at my disposal.

Thanks again!

Use MPLEX as described in the ExtractStream documentation. I am working on documentation to convert the TiVO video to SVCD which I will post when I finish my results. So far ive gotten SVCDs that look almost as good as the video from the tivo (The only limitation is the bitrate of the SVCD standard). I'd recomend storing the video as SVCD in the future. The main requirement is if you want to convert to SVCD you need to save the video on the TiVO in High Quality for the best results.

You may also want to try different versions of TMPGenc. Some versions work better than others.
