Well, I've got 3 Series 1 DirecTivo's it's time to get rid of.
I want to upgrade all of my systems to Series 2 now.
I have 2 Hughes GXCEBOTS, and 1 Sony Sat T-60.
They are all in great shape.
As it stands right now, only one system is in use, it's a t60 with a 120 Gb Seagate Barracuda, Cachecard w/512mb, running 3.1.0c2 Software. This is my living room Tivo. Drive was put in new in Oct '04. Networked, Tivowebplus, Mfs_ftp, TyTool, Non-scrambled of course, etc...
The other 2 haven't been used in a year, the drives are currently @ 3.1.0c2 Both have less than 2 months use on Brand new 120gb hard drives. I put the software on them just to make sure the drives were good when I got them. (warranty replacement drives from a PC)
The 2nd GXCEBOT had a cachecard in it, so there's a small hole in the back where the cable came out, and another hole over the access card slot where I wired in an extra fan ( approx 1'' ) to keep it cool when it was running 2 drives in a previous incarnation. Brand new Remote control.
The T60 has no issues other than a real minor scratch on the front. It also has a brand new remote.
PM me any decent offers, if none are received, eBay it is.

How'd your 2 units get a 60 minute buffer?

I see you seemed to ask ALMOST everyone's permission to include their software, and intellectual property.
Disturbing.
On an unrelated note:

CRAP....
Sorry JJ, that one slipped by me. I truly did make an honest effort to contact everyone. Somehow, you slipped by me.
I've eliminated the reference from 1 auction, but unfortunately I can't on the other.
What can I do to make things right?
I think what I did was open an old version of bufferhack looking for copyright info, or terms of use. At least 1 version, <won't mention the version publicly> had none in the package. That was the 1st one I found when scanning my PC again today looking for the info.
I see that a terms of use section showed up in the other versions though.
Once again I apologize for the mistake, but it truly was an honest one.
I'll cancel the auction and start over if those are your wishes. (sure hope they aren't though)
Please accept my apologies, I didn't mean to slight anyone.

It opens up a can of worms regarding precedent.
Since you claim to have permission to distribute (for sale) proprietary software from the other developers, I will allow it for these two sales, without giving up my rights to enforce it in the future.
At least 1 version, <won't mention the version publicly> had none in the package
However, this was not a version that would have supported 3.1.0c2
If I find out that jdiner and rc3105 are not alllowing you to sell their non-distributable work in your eBay bundle, you will be liable.
It is obvious to me, that including things like an increased Live TV buffer as well as preinstalled mfs_ftp and TyTool makes your auction significantly more valuable then anothers. This is precisely the reason that these limitations are put on the work of the DDB developers.
In principle, I don't think you are overtly profiteering on the work of others, but you must admit that you intend to garner a higher price due to the augmentations of these particular two units, otherwise you wouldn't have listed those modifications as desireable.
Since you now ask for permission, it is granted for the auction that you claim you can no longer modify, though I question why not. On the auction you have changed. I recommend setting it BACK to 30 minutes. I am not against purchasing the unit from you under an assumed name on eBay to check the settings and deal with the licensing issue thereafer.
Be careful how things progress. I'm watching.

I recommend setting it BACK to 30 minutes. Will do
If I find out that jdiner and rc3105 are not alllowing you to sell their non-distributable work in your eBay bundle, you will be liable. I did make sure it was OK with both of them. Take a look at the auction again, Riley even bid on one. I gave him money to allow me to leave mfs_ftp installed, this was before I started the auction.
However, this was not a version that would have supported 3.1.0c2 You are absolutely right of course, it was just poor investigation on my part.
It is obvious to me, that including things like an increased Live TV buffer as well as preinstalled mfs_ftp and TyTool makes your auction significantly more valuable then anothers. Absolutely right again, that's why I made sure I asked 1st, and donated where necessary. It is a more valuable unit than most, and some of that value is out of my pocket.
Those programs would NOT be on there if the authors had told me no, I respect and appreciate dev's and their wishes.Since you now ask for permission, it is granted for the auction that you claim you can no longer modify, though I question why not. I tried, but once somebody bids on the auction, you can no longer revise it. That's why I was able to change one, but not the other.
And a big thank you for your permission,
truly
