View Full Version : System Lock-up

I have a Philips DSR6000 unit, have it hacked for bash, and fixup.tcl with line added to /tvbin/Tclient as follows:
delete object tcBlock
/var/hack/fixup.tcl
sync
exit 0

Every now and then (once sometimes twice a day) the system will lock up, the screen freezes for a few seconds, then I get the “Welcome, powering up…” screen and it will hang there until I power cycle the unit, then it works great until it locks again.

The lock-ups don’t seem to occur with the call home, but also I note that my last successful call never updates either.

If I rm /tvbin/Tclient and reboot it should replace it with a factory file? I am thinking this would be the best way to test if it was this edit making the system lockup.

Below is a piece of /var/log/messages around the reboot (note that no logs are made while in the locked state)
