security system

Hello all...............
I'm looking for laser transmitter and receiver or a passive infrared sensor for a security system around my cabin. 12 or 24 volts.
Any ideas ???

Odd, Most of the comercial security products that I have seen run on 12V. I think if you look most of the stuff is 12V battery backup with an aux 12V supply. For example check out this:

Remote sensors would be hard-wired off of this. (Infrared are pretty standard and souldnt break the bank). They even have a nice cheap keypad/panel combo for around $100 (batteries not included :)).

I think you find most of the pro/standard stuff is 12V (or has a transformer for 12VDC built in that you can bypass).
