View Full Version : Daily call fails, 2.5.2 w/ nophone and turbonet
I have been running 2.5.2 on my series 1 DirecTivo for 1 year now with the nophone option without issue. I recently installed a turbonet card and during the setup configured the driver to continue using the phone line for the daily call.
Since the install, the unit has been attempting the daily call and failing even thought the nophone setting is still enabled.
Any support in re-engaging the nophone option would be greatly appreciated.

If you have 2.5.2 installed as a result of upgrading 2.5Xtreme with Superzap's xupgrade.iso then you hosed your installation by installing the tubonet drivers on top of the xPlusz hack you already had installed. XPlusz installed the turbonet drivers for you so there was no need to install the Turbonet drivers a second time. There may be a workaround for this but it's been a long time since I've read anything about it so you'll have to dig around the archives to find a solution. Your best bet may be to reinstall 2.5Xtreme and then upgrade to 3.1 with the xupgrade.iso. There's no need to keep using 2.5.2 anymore. The 3.1 upgrade has all of the xPlusz hacks included.
Thanks for the help Captain Video. I removed the two turbonet object file (turbonet.o, turbonet_debug.o) from /lib/modules and de-installed xplusz. After a reboot, I reinstalled xplusz and all is back to normal.
I appreciate the support.
